A Break Away
I’ve been very quiet on here the past few weeks. I’m most definitely feeling better since my last post. A little break away in Oban helped, I was able to relax a bit and concentrate on producing some better quality pictures. Some of which I really love.
The plan was to post these pictures on here as I took them but clearly that didn’t happen. I give up planning things, I apparently can’t stick with them.
The next few shots are from when we went out and about in Oban itself. I aimed to take my camera out with me everywhere we went. With a view like this how could I not do a long exposure of a sunset over the harbour?
We visited Dunollie Castle, which was only a short walk down the road. During the visit I managed to capture possibly the best bird pictures I’ve ever taken. As I’ve said before, I’ve never had any luck with bird photography so this was a pleasant surprise.
Another day trip was to Fort William, Glencoe and a walk to Steall Falls.
The next few are from a ferry trip over to the Isle of Mull. Once again photography was a distraction for me. This time not from my depression, but feeling sick from the boat ride! Oh how I hate boats. I’m quite happy I got the first shot as symmetrical as possible.
And then finally, the best picture of the holiday. One I am so happy with, a product of 4/5 long exposures stacked together. Taken with the tripod in the bay window of the flat we where staying in, it’s not perfect but it definitely one of the best sunsets I’ve seen for a long time.
