6 months too late but the diet has resumed. I’m not a fan of the word ‘diet’ though, it seems too I don’t know, certain. I’m not starving myself or cutting things out, I’m just eating healthier and attempting to be better.
After a recent conversation with a friend of mine it got me thinking about my relationship with food. I’ve always enjoyed food and in more cases than not, used it as a coping mechanism. I turned to stuffing myself which then only led to guilt afterwards. I’ve never enjoyed cooking though, there are few things I hate more than standing in the kitchen attempting to make something edible. Maybe it’s just me but nothing about cooking is fun, it’s just stressful. Nothing about following a recipe and measuring things appeals to me, absolutely nothing.
I’ve never been someone to calorie count and actually watch what I eat. So when I discovered I was eating an unbelievable amount more than I should be it was the shock factor I needed. After some research, I came across Huel. Human Fuel. It’s a meal replacement that actually works, doesn’t taste particularly nice but it works. I’ve been able to maintain a somewhat regular amount of calories each day and actually started to lose a bit of weight…finally! The Fitbit is officially back on my wrist too after giving up with it for a while.
I’ve been feeling very tired and drained the past month or so. I recently had a couple of blood tests to try and find a cause which I’m waiting for. I’ve never wanted a blood test to show anything before but I need an answer for why I’m so exhausted 90% of the time. Come 5pm and I need a quick nap because I am that tired, so frustrating. I suppose that could be another reason why my photography, and the site, hasn’t really happened recently. I have absolutely no desire, or energy, to go out and take photos. Although saying that, I did manage some quick snaps yesterday.
I’m trying to still develop my own style of photography which is a lot more difficult than anticipated, I mean there is always the potential I am overthinking it. Seems to be what I do about literally everything, ever.
In relation to the blog though, I have many ideas for blog posts, more for later in the year when I’m away in Orlando on holiday! Hoping to do regular updates when we’re over there as there is going to be so much to do, and so many photos to edit when I get home. I did consider starting a vlog for a while but honestly, hearing my own voice makes me cringe so that’s a no. I suppose vlogs are the best way to get information across now, blogs maybe not as much.
Does anyone actually still read blogs? Who knows.
