Time to Talk
The black clouds are lifting a bit now. I’m in a better mood since my last post as expected.
During those times of low mood I always lose all motivation to do anything, including photography. I WANT to do it but can’t actually bring myself to. At the start of the year I said 2019 was going to be my year. I’m still determined to make that change, it’s just going to take maybe more effort and resilience than I have at the moment.
It was Time To Talk day the other day, I did a post about the day last year, so I won’t repeat myself too much… I will say this though. I’ve always understood the need to talk and be open about mental health, despite it not being easy. There are people who always stay there and don’t judge.
A huge thanks to the people who stick by me every time I have a “moment”, a dark day, month or year. The people who don’t give up and walk away. It is important to remember though, mental health of any form isn’t just a day long thing, it’s there all year round, every year. It doesn’t just go away.
If you think someone is struggling, ask if they’re okay. You never know, one small chat could save that person.
It’s okay to not be okay.
