Time Off to Catch Up

We had a huge thunderstorm over Ellesmere Port last night. Unfortunately though I still don’t have the umph to pick up my cameras properly. I do, however, have almost full faith in the Huawei to get what I need at the time.

Whilst I didn’t manage to capture any lightning bolts in the sky (despite looking like a weirdo for a solid 20/30 minutes stood at the door), I did get some interesting ones of the light and the colours of the sky. I might have to get some of these printed to see how good the quality is.

I’ve not seen a thunderstorm quite like that one in this country, the only comparable one is when we were in Florida last year. That was something else! One day I’ll get my photo of lightning, a proper one, a planned photo. Last night was not that night.

I’m thinking of adding a category on my page for photos taken on my phone, as most are these days. Whilst I quite like the pictures taken on my Huawei, I can’t justify posting them in the same space as my DSLR images…I think they need their separate space.

I’m currently on a holiday from work, which once again, similar to lockdown, I had big plans for. None of them have actually happened. I was going to be out on my bike every other day, out taking photos, catching up with friends. None of it has gone ahead. Instead I’ve spent my time playing video games and trying to get the backlog I’ve created for myself. Getting nearer and nearer to the end of The Last of Us 2…..such a good game. I have enjoyed reading on and off throughout though, the Peter Grant series has been keeping me hugely occupied.

As always, I’ve got some prints for sale in the shop so feel free to have a browse. Once I’ve got one or two test prints of the phone images done, you may see some of those on there too!
