Christmas With a Difference

IMG_0682.jpg

This Christmas was always going to be a weird one. It was certainly a different experience for everyone. Granted, I’ve never particularly liked Christmas, the build up and hype just never ever lives up to expectations, call me a scrooge all you like, I’m glad when it’s over. Saying that, I enjoyed my day. I mean, there was food, family and beer…just not all the family I would have liked.

This year, for the first real time, I’ve tried to make an extra push on social media for my photography and sales. I think it’s pretty obvious in reality, I haven’t a clue what I’m doing. In the new year I’m going to have a look at marketing courses. I wish I understood the usage of social media for business so much better, it’s all very complicated. Granted, this year is my best sales yet. I can’t help but sometimes feel disappointed, like I could have done so much better.

I can only assume every creative has the issue of lack of publicity, lack of confidence and therefore lack of sales. It genuinely feels like I’ve failed. I think the main problem I’ve got is standing out and being different from everyone else. So difficult.

If anybody can offer any help or ideas on how to improve my audience and interactions with my shop/blog then pretty please let me know.

I think I speak for everyone when I say I’m glad this year is very nearly over. Granted, all the problems 2020 has caused us are far from over! There seems to be no actual end in sight. 2021 has to be better than this one at least, it can’t get much worse!

Onwards and upwards!
